Pics from the teenagers' world: an e-calendar

The last weeks of school Italian and Finnish students carried out the last activities of the eTwinning project "Pics from the teenagers' world" and created an e-calendar choosing some pics from the ones they had described and shared in the previous activities. They also printed it and hung it in class so that it will be used next school year.

Here is the e-calendar

Students chose these photos among the ones they took and described during the school year as you can see here in these thinglinks

or in these padlets

Students and teachers also gave their opinion on the project and evaluated it using an app called answergarden that allows to write a word on the project.

Some days before the end of the lessons they also got the letters from Finnish students and they exchanged their personal address so to keep on writing even during the summer and I really hope they can make friends and go on being touch with them!

The last day of school students told everything about this project to their parents using a powerpoint presentation and their voices!

This project was really a great one and all the students were involved and liked to take part in it, at the same time they improved their English and their ICT skills and competences.

Our favourite singers and bands

Students of class II A have been doing activities on favourite singers and bands within the eTwinning project "Pics from the teenagers' world".
First they searched for info on the singers they love, then they wrote a description and at last they created a prezi adding both the descriptions and some videos too.
The prezi below was created in cooperation with the Finnish students.

Singing in Finnish for our etwinning friends!

This morning students of class II A prepared a surprise video for their Finnish friends.
First they listened to the song "Joulupukki" then tried to sing it following the words on the board and finally Matteo put on a red hood and acted as Santa Claus (Joulupukki). As they were really good we called Michele, a student from class III A and ask him to make a video of the students singing this song in Finnish as a Christmas present for our friends.
We hope they like it!

Pics from the teenagers' world

"Pics from the teenagers' world" is the new eTwinning project we will carry out with the students of class II A throughout this school year.

In this project students will:
- take a photo a month of their world (it can be the sport they practice, the games they play, the house they live in, their favourite room, object, animal, book, shop, etc. it can be the street they live, the park, the school, the classroom, a school trip etc.);
-  describe the photo in around 50 words;
- the best photos and texts will be chosen to create both an e-calendar and a paper calendar.

Here are the aims of the project:
- to create contacts with European students to know them and the culture of their countries;
- to improve the use of English as a Foreign Language;
- to implement the use of ICT;
- to develop writing skills in English (using both formal and informal language);
- to work together with the aim of creating friendly relationships.

 We will work with teenagers from a Finnish school in Mäntsälä and will also send letters to them.

This is the certificate of our project
