Christmas cards: a video

After Christmas holidays we received the remaining cards and finished displaying them on our board card tree.
All the students have been involved so much in all the phases of the e-twinning project that they are really happy of  having taken part to this project.
In fact all of them prepared the cards with the teacher of Art, then thought of what to write on the cards with me and wrote and decorated them. We sent the cards to all the countries and when we received them we read each card aloud and tried to understand what was written there. We displayed the cards and we took a lot of pictures while doing all these things and we put them together in this video.

Receiving and displaying the cards

Last week we started getting some Christmas cards from Poland, England and Spain, we opened the envelopes and read the cards.

 Teacher Brunella is dividing the cards among the schools

Reading the cards in class I A

It was really interesting reading about other people's traditions and also fun.
After first year students read and understood the cards third year students collaborated to display them and we decided to decorate our Christmas tree with these cards this year.

We will add the cards from the other countries as soon as they arrive.
In this way we will really have a European Christmas tree!

Christmas cards: an etwinning project

First year students are involved in an etwinning project about sending and receiving Christmas cards.
The students created beautiful Christmas cards with the teacher of Art

and wrote their Christmas wishes and some information about their Christmas traditions together with me (their teacher of English).

Deciding what to write on the cards

The main aims of this project are:
- to discover Christmas traditions from other countries;
- to give info about Italian traditions in English;
- to write some personal info about themselves in English;
- to develop friendship about schools of the countries involved in the project (among both teachers and students).

This is the etwinning certificate of the project

Here is a map of the countries we are sending the cards to

 In  this pictures the students are writing the cards.

And here they are finishing decorating the cards.

The cards are ready and in a few days they will be sent.
