1 smile makes 2 smiles: last activities

1 smile makes 2 smiles etwinning project has come to and end and here are the last last activities students of class I G of the school "L. Da Vinci - O. Nucula" in Terni out were:

1. A collaborative video "I'm happy when ..." 
All the schools sent their videos to our colleague Michal Prybil from Czech Republic who collected all of them in a video that can be seen in the twinspace of the project.





2. Happy T-shirts 
Students in class created their happy t-shirt and worked together with both the teachers of Art and English. Then we shared pics and videos in the twinspace of the project.

3. Happy Journal
Students tried to write what "happiness" means for them, found some photos and created an online magazine that we called "Happy Journal" using both googledoc and calameo

So this is the end of this etwinning project and from the nice comments we received both from parents and from students I think we will create another one next year too!

Mystery Skype

This morning students of class I G of the school "L. Da Vinci - O. Nucula" had been involved in a mystery skype with students from the etwinning project "1 smile, makes 2 smiles".

During the activity they had to guess where each school was from, to do so some students asked and answered questions,

some others looked on maps to find out the country,

other took notes and searched for info on the internet.

After the questions they discovered that the students on the other side of the screen live in the Czech Republic.

After that Italian and Czech students took some time to look for other information on the two countries and asked other questions to know a bit more on these two nations.

The students loved it and realized that speak in English with real people is beautiful but also demanding so they have to practice and practice to become really good at it.

1 smile makes 2 smiles: spreading happiness!

Students of class I G of "L. Da Vinci - O. Nucula" school in Terni created some mini posters with sentences with the aim of spreading happiness within the etwinning project "1 smile makes 2 smiles". So when one of them is sad he or she can take a smile with a sentence and feel better. We hope it works! 

Our European friends from the project partner schools created some sentences too.

1 smile makes 2 smiles: a new logo!

The last days before Christmas holidays students of class IG voted for the best logo of the etwinning project "1 smile makes 2 smiles".
As the partners teachers decided not to let the students vote for the loges created by themselves we voted for all the logos except for the Italian ones.
We looked at them on the twinspace and each student chose 3 logos to vote for.

1 Smile Makes 2 Smiles

1 Smile Makes 2 Smiles is title of a new eTwinning project for  students of class I G.
This project is focused on sharing happiness and promoting understanding among nations, friendshop and international collaboration. Students of partner schools will work on several tasks such as collaborative video making, designing logos, posters and T-shirt, writing "happy" journals and looking for ways to make others happy.

Aims

• Promote understanding among nations, friendship and international collaboration;
• Share happiness;
• Show the importance of positive attitude; 
• Let students collaborate with foreign peers;
• Let students work in teams, collaborate, communicate, plan, be creative, solve problems, present results and evaluate;
• Promote modern ways of teaching and learning;
• Develop competencies (special focus on social and civic competence, communication in foreign languages, digital competence, cultural awareness and expression, sense of initiative and entrepreneurship);
• Increase students’ motivation towards learning; 
• Improve students’ English skills; 
• Bring European dimension to schools. 

After students have created their profile in the twinspace of the project and after having created a video to introduce themselves they are now working on drawing the logo for the project.
