Let's play EU 60: final activities.

Students of class II G of the school "L. Da Vinci - O. Nucula" in Terni have been working with peers from Spain and French all the year round.
The last activities they took part in were about the EU Institutions and Videos on EU countries.

EU Institutions
During this activity students worked in mixed nationality groups to search info, write texts and create a poster on the following EU Institutions: the European Parliament, the Commission, the European Council.
Here is an e booklet created with their collaborative work.

Videos on EU Countries
Students searched for some info on some EU countries and created videos at school.

In the meantime we presented the boardgames in the AEDE 2017 competition in Terni and we won the first and the second prize: great job!

Making FIlms, Making Friends: the end!

The school year has already finished in Italy and the last days of school all the students of the partner schools voted for the best logo within the etwinning project "Making FIlms, Making Friends"  and

the winner is ...

to Giulia Gallina
class III G "L. Da Vinci - O. Nucula" school in Terni.

The last activity our students have been involved in was "Stories from and for films" which saw students working in international groups. A group of students created the beginning of a story starting from the ending of one of their favourite film, then the other students from the other groups continued the story until the end. As students from Norway, Portugal and France are still going to school some of the stories haven't got an ending yet so ... start reading the stories and come back to this blog in a while to read the end!

Here are the links to read the stories.

1 smile makes 2 smiles: last activities

1 smile makes 2 smiles etwinning project has come to and end and here are the last last activities students of class I G of the school "L. Da Vinci - O. Nucula" in Terni out were:

1. A collaborative video "I'm happy when ..."
All the schools sent their videos to our colleague Michal Prybil from Czech Republic who collected all of them in a video that can be seen in the twinspace of the project.

2. Happy T-shirts
Students in class created their happy t-shirt and worked together with both the teachers of Art and English. Then we shared pics and videos in the twinspace of the project.

3. Happy Journal
Students tried to write what "happiness" means for them, found some photos and created an online magazine that we called "Happy Journal" using both googledoc and calameo

So this is the end of this etwinning project and from the nice comments we received both from parents and from students I think we will create another one next year too!

Let's celebrate the European Day of Languages with us: final activity

The last activity of the eTwinning project "Let's celebrate the EDL with us" has ended some months ago with a nice activity for Easter. Students of class I H of the school "L. Da Vinci - O. Nucula" in Terni created, sent and received cards for Easter.
They created the cards together with the teacher of Art and wrote a message in English and Italian with the teacher of Italian.

Here are the cards we created

These are the cards we received.

This project was a wonderful experience for them because it helped the students to improve their English and digital skills but also because they became more aware of living in a bigger place that is the European Union where there are a lot of different people who speak different languages. Kids loved all the activities but the ones they liked best were the Skype sessions with Ukraine and Romania.
