Be going to or Present Continuous

As we studied last week, there are several ways to speak about future events. Among these ways there are:
to be going to and the Present Continuous.
We use to be going to mainly when we want to speak about and intention.
We use the Present Continuous when we want to speak about a fixed plan in a near future.
