As on Thursday 5th we are going to visit Keats-Shelley house in Rome we read some poems at school as well as their biography some weeks ago.
Now it's time to review what we read so to be prepared about what we will see.

Romeo and Juliet!
Talking about favourite movies with 3rd year students we came across Romeo and Juliet and ...
Every time I think of this play a song by the British band "Dire Straits" comes to mind and here it is.
Here is a scene from the 1968 movie directed by Franco Zeffirelli
And this is taken from 1996 movie with Leonardo Di Caprio
This is from 2013 movie with Douglas Booth
These are the verses at the beginning of the balcony scene, there are more, so if you are interested just ask me for the play at school!
Finally I think all of you know a bit about this story. Some weeks ago I found this very nice comic strip and I share it with all of you!

Romeo and Juliet |
Act II. Scene II. |
The Same. CAPULET’S Orchard.
| |
Enter ROMEO.
| |
Rom. He jests at scars, that never felt a wound. [JULIET appears above at a window.
But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?
It is the east, and Juliet is the sun! | 5 |
Arise, fair sun, and kill the envious moon,
Who is already sick and pale with grief,
That thou her maid art far more fair than she:
Be not her maid, since she is envious;
Her vestal livery is but sick and green, | 10 |
And none but fools do wear it; cast it off.
It is my lady; O! it is my love:
O! that she knew she were.
She speaks, yet she says nothing: what of that?
Her eye discourses; I will answer it. | 15 |
I am too bold, ’tis not to me she speaks:
Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven,
Having some business, do entreat her eyes
To twinkle in their spheres till they return.
What if her eyes were there, they in her head? | 20 |
The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars
As daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven
Would through the airy region stream so bright
That birds would sing and think it were not night.
See! how she leans her cheek upon her hand: | 25 |
O! that I were a glove upon that hand,
That I might touch that cheek. |
Finally I think all of you know a bit about this story. Some weeks ago I found this very nice comic strip and I share it with all of you!
