Christmas cards: a video
After Christmas holidays we received the remaining cards and finished displaying them on our board card tree.
All the students have been involved so much in all the phases of the e-twinning project that they are really happy of having taken part to this project.
In fact all of them prepared the cards with the teacher of Art, then thought of what to write on the cards with me and wrote and decorated them. We sent the cards to all the countries and when we received them we read each card aloud and tried to understand what was written there. We displayed the cards and we took a lot of pictures while doing all these things and we put them together in this video.

Roald Dahl
Who was Roald Dahl?
This morning in class I-II G we watched the movie "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and we discovered that this film is based on the book written by Roald Dahl. So this means Roald Dhal was a writer!
The students watched the movie in English with English subtitles and while watching they had to:
- pay attention and take notes about particular characteristics (eg. streets, houses, buildings, people's clothes);
- write down unknown words that raised their curiosity;
- write down words they recognize from previous lessons.
To know more about the writer of the book and to do the homework I gave at school click on these links:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Roald_Dahl (in English)
http://www.windoweb.it/guida/letteratura/biografia_roald_dahl.htm (in Italian)
If you click on the following link http://www.roalddahl.com, that is in English, you will find a very nice interview with Roald Dahl himself.

Describing people: physical appearance
This morning in class II A we studied how to describe physically a person. So we started from height, hair, eyes and build. Here is a mind map with useful adjectives to create descriptions of your best friends, schoolmates, a member of your family, a teacher, an actor, a singer, a football player and so on.
