Here is a crossword Silvia, a student of the class involved in this project made. She made it on paper and I copied it in a website where it is possible to create crossword.

Imagine: a word cloud
Last week students of class II A listened to the song Imagine and they also did some activities I prepared for them.
This week I asked them to prepare activities on the song and they really did a very good job.
Now here I found a nice way of doing a word search so ... try to find the 10 words related to the song!
The first one who finds all of them will get a prize!

Happy Halloween 2012!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2012!
Here are some nice poems to celebrate Halloween.
Three Little Ghosts
Three little ghosts on Halloween night
Saw a witch and shrieked in frightThe witch just laughed and shouted, "Boo!"
One ghost ran home and then there were two.
Two little ghosts who shiver and shook
With every single step they took.
When the door opened wide
One little ghost said to the other...
I'm going home and stay with my mother.
One little ghost can't have much fun,
so he ran home, and then there were none.
5 little pumpkins
This is my Jack o' Lantern. I made it myself, believe it or not! And I had a lot of fun doing it.
If you want to make your Jack O' Lantern watch this video:
I also made some delicious Halloween cookies and muffins, here they are!
And here you find some recipes to make wonderful biscuits!

Etwinning European Quality label
After having received the eTwinning National Quality Label we also got the eTwinning European Quality Label and I'm really proud of all my students who took part in the project "Postcards from our Countries" last school year.
We work hard and full of enthusiasm trying to learn as mush as we could and improve both our language and ICT knowledge.
We achieved an important result and it's nice to share this achievement with other schools in Europe.

Let's play countries and nationalites
Some weeks ago 1st year students studied countries and nationalities and to review these words we played a game.
They had a photocopy with countries and another with nationalities. They cut all the pictures and made cards. Then we shuffled the cards and gave some of them to each student.
The game started and each student, in turn, pretend to be from a country and another student pretended to be from that nationality.
This was an easy way to learn these words and have a bit of fun at the same time.
Here are the videos with the students playing.
The following video is to review some countries and nationalities.

Second class students are studying the present continuous tense so i thought it a good idea to put some links here to exercises a bit more before the test that they will take soon.
Look at these pictures and answer these questions?
1. What are doing?
2. What is she/he doing?
3. Are they ........-ing?

This is a very easy exercise and it will take a couple of minutes to do: http://www.englishexercises.org/makeagame/viewgame.asp?id=8051
These following exercises are a bit less easy but they are not difficult: http://www.englishexercises.org/makeagame/viewgame.asp?id=7021

A song a month: 1st chat!
Yesterday evening from 8.30 pm to almost 10.00 pm Italian and Turkish students and teachers taking part to the eTwinning project "a song a month" have been chatting and having a lot of fun!
I was really a great experience ! There were more than 20 people chatting at the same moment and they were eager to know each other and asked a lot of questions such as:
What's your name?
Where are you from?
How old are you?
How are you?
What's your favourite sport?
What's your favourite song?
Who's your favourite singer?
What's your favourite food?
What are you doing?
How many people are there in your family?
... and so on.
All the students had the chance of asking and answering a lot of questions and could also "listen" (I should say read but it seemed as if we were face to face) to the others chatting.
Of course English wasn't perfect but we were all able to understand each other and this is the most important aim to keep in mind when we learn another language: to COMMUNICATE with other people!
Both the Turkish colleague and I were really happy and glad to see how effectively our students talked and how enthusiastic about it they were!

Happy European Day of Languages 2012: a video.
here is a video reporting each phase of the project, all the posters you've created and a short "thank you" video realized by the students of Lugnano in behalf of all you saying thank you in the different languages of the project. The pronunciation is not perfect because we don't know all the languages!
The students were really happy to get a lot of posters from all the countries involved and enthusiastic of taking part to this project. Together with my colleague we involved 5 groups of students and we managed to create 5 posters, one in each classroom. All of them had the chance to see where each country is on the map and at the same time realize how big but how close all the countries are. We could see many different languages but also a lot of similar words. We really are a big community and we are happy of being part of it!
So we do love Europe for this.

The project idea is to work on some famous songs and on songs the students like and to create language activities to share with the other schools. At the end of the projoct we will create a calendar with pictures and info about singers and bands and with sentences taken from our favorite songs. We will also create a song book with the songs we listened to and the activities students and teachers have created.
Here is the list of all the schools involved in the project.
The main objectives of the project are:
