I'm practically perfect!

Pamela Lyndon Travers was born  9th August 1899 in Australia then moved to England where she lived until her death in 1996.

Who was P. L. Travers? She was the one who invented Mary Poppins, the very famous magical nanny.
She had her first Mary Poppins  book published in 1934.

In 1964 Walt Disney produced the musical film we all know.

In 2004 Cameron Mackintosh adapted the story into a stage musical. This musical is still on in Broadway in New York.

When I went to New York, two years ago, I saw it and it is really beautiful. The songs they sang were more or less the same as in the film but there were also others very nice too.
My favorite song is this one. I hope you like it too.

Listen, enjoy, sing and ...

The job's a game!"
